Home Maintenance Assistant

Responsibility
- Performing minor repairs and fixes around the house, such as fixing leaky faucets, repairing minor electrical issues, or patching up small holes.
- Checking, maintaining, and troubleshooting household appliances to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, weeding, and general maintenance of outdoor spaces.
- Assisting with general cleaning tasks, organizing spaces, and decluttering.
- Undertaking light carpentry projects, such as assembling furniture or installing shelves.
- Addressing specific maintenance tasks based on the season, such as gutter cleaning in the fall or checking air conditioning systems in the summer.
- Ensuring that home security measures are in place and functioning correctly, such as checking locks and alarms.
- Responding to urgent or emergency repair needs promptly.
- Offering specialized assistance for seniors who may need help with tasks related to aging in place, accessibility modifications, and safety adaptations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in basic repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Basic understanding of home systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to effectively carry out maintenance tasks.
- Previous experience in performing home maintenance tasks, either professionally or as a skilled homeowner.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in home maintenance and repair.
